This LA-based photographer captures intimacy and closeness in an anonymously provocative way. His work features familiar emotions and situations of sexuality, the female body, and fragments of everyday life, captured in a new and innovative way.
Q & A:
CO: How old are you and where are you from?
NW: I’m 34 and I’m from Los Angeles.
CO: What do you do?
NW: Photographer and aspiring professional gambler.
CO:How long have you been doing it?
NW: Six years.
CO: If you could have any piece of art in art history, which would you choose?
NW: Whatever the most expensive one is. Then I would sell it and buy an expensive home.
CO: What is your relationship with fashion?
NW: I like fashion as much as the next guy but my photos don’t usually have much clothing in them. I buy fake Vetements and Gosha Rubchinsky from China because there's no copyright law there.
CO: What does the word “Collective” mean to you as an artist?
NW: At it's best, a collective is like a gang or criminal organization. At its worst, it can be like a church or a cult.
CO: Who do you admire?
NW: People who haven't been brainwashed.
