COL: How old are you and where are you from?
JR: 24 from Oslo, Norway
COL: What do you do?
JR: Im a Dj and producer
COL: How long have you been doing it?
JR: I've been doing music as long as i can remember. My father is a classical musician so to do anything with music wasn't even a question, it were just something we had to do.
And i really appreciate it today. I started write/compose music 8 years ago and DJing 4 years ago
COL: What inspired you to pursue a career in art?
JR: My whole family is artists or musicians so it was an easy direction. You are working for and with your passion as an artist, and what is better than that?
COL: If you could have any piece of art in history, what would you choose?
JR: All the great historic art has made an impression to me, so it would be hard to choose just one.
COL: What is your relationship with fashion?
JR: Fashion is important for all of us. How you dress say a lot of who you are and it’s a way to express yourself.
It’s never been important to me to follow trends but I dress as I feel from day to day.
COL: What does the word “collective” mean to you as an artist?
JR: Collective is a very important word for me as an artist. I think it is very important to stay together as artists, boost each other, be a team (even though the competition is hard and everyone wants to succeed) instead of pushing other down to get yourself up.
COL: What is the best and worst thing about being an artist?
JR: I think it’s the insecurity of income. You never know when you’re gonna be booked and in some periods it might not be any jobs, and that can give some economic stress. But it also motivates you to work even harder.
COL: Who do you admire?
JR: All the people who work their asses of to be able to work with their passion.
COL: What can we expect to see at this year’s festival?
JR: You’ll hear a lot of smooth deep house, funk and maybe some disco.
COL: Who are you excited to see?
JR: SØSTER STUDIO. Pernille Nadine is a good friend of mine and I really admire her and what she has accomplished with SØSTER STUDIO.

COL: How important is the ability to expose your art to you and your creative field?
JR: Its everything for me. It’s the only way I can grow as a person and artist. Without any exposure you are not going any further or anywhere.
