Meet this year’s BORDER artists, the new frontiers in fashion art.

Extraweg’s Oliver Latta is known for his provocative animation films. Landing the last Valentino campaign #CandyStudFactory through his growing Insta following. Sharna Osborne hash a background in Fine Ar., Osborne's work explores the meeting ground between moving image, fashion and art in campaigns and editorials for Hermes and IT Vogue. Maria Pasenau captures her generation through a rough lense. Her work has been exhibited at The National Museum and The Teen magazine Recens. Nate Walton “An intimate study of life and sex in LA” has been shut down by Instagram 3 times because of the nudity in his photographs.  What is their agenda?

15:55-16:25 THE COMMERCIAL IN ART

Starting his carrier with an editorial for US W Magazine Photographer and film maker Dusan Reljin’s shot to fame overnight. He has worked in the crossing point of fashion and art having works in the art collections of the Met and Moma museums in NYC as well as editorials for Vogue, W Magazine and French Numero. These days he is working closely with artist Marina Abramovic. At this year’s Collective Dusan is exhibiting his latest collaboration with supermodel and icon Kate Moss

16:30-17:00 A-HA THROUGH THE LENSE

Just Loomis is a fine art photographer known for his portraiture and fashion photography. He started his road of photography assisting the late Helmut Newton. His work has been published in Harper's Bazaar, British Vogue, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Magazine. The Norwegian pop group A-ha has collaborated with Loomis since their debut in the 80’s “Take On Me” until today. Loomis is exhibiting a personal series of portraits of lead singer Morten Harket at the festival.

15:50-16:20 FASHION OFFBEAT // EPSON DESIGN TALK

At the FW 2018 London Fashion Week Queen Elizabeth II presented Richard Quinn with the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design. Behind the talented designer stands Epson, known for their world leading innovation in print.

In a collaboration with Collective, Epson has given Norwegian designers, Edda Gimnes (Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Gigi Hadid all loves her design) and Kit Wan (fashion/multimedia designer) a grant that covers fabric and print for their FW2019 collections as well as their exhibit at the Collective. This TALK is about technology and how it gives possibilities that that can change the future of fashion design. Technology enables designers to create their design, patterns and avatar models on their own laptop, and with the push of a button manufacturing their collection without the traditional patternmaker and studio model. Cutting costs and time. How is this changing the future for emerging fashion designers today? What is the future for emerging designers?
