AN ART COLLABORATION
MONIKER X COLLECTIVE OSLO

On November 17th, 2021, MONIKER x COLLECTIVE OSLO launched their art collaboration staged at the beautiful MONIKER space in Oslo.

For the collaboration COLLECTIVE OSLO curated a selection of artists expressing themselves across a wide range of media including art installations, performances, music, moving images and print.

Two of our talented up-and-coming artists; Maria Maaneskiold and Rasmus Stride formed a powerful unity to create a playful multi-media universe manifested in the main art installation, stretching through the floors and into a series of surprising windows installations. The combination of Maaneskiold’s striking 2D illustrations and Strides 3D constructed reality, create a mixed multi-media language without limitations.

The duo also invited perfumer Rasa Gundersen to add an olfactive experience to their creations.

The print exhibition features refreshing and inspirational work by emerging and established artists, many who have contributed to shape the visual language of fashion in the last decade.

A diverging collection of art posters and signed art prints by the likes of Dusan Reljin, Arcin Sagdic, Vitaboy and Michal Pudelka, sheds lights on different approaches to challenge barriers.

At the opening night, the Swedish performance artist Malin Bülow took her astonishing universe of textile membrane and staged her 15 dancers from the Royal Opera school in Norway – stretching and moving in coordinated integration with the crowd. The Dance artists Amie MBye moved everyone with her slam poetry, dance, and film art completion.

The artist, Jonas Meurer-Lunde brought PLAY into an awakening soundscape accompanied by expressive visuals based on the live algorithms of the music. The art movie by Ask Sunde and Erik Solholm Høigaard further explored playful and diverging perspectives.
